Bunglo Organic Cotton Face Masks

Masks–this is is our new normal. And as we navigate these uncertain times, it is important to remember why these masks are a new part of our society.

Protection.

If protection is the main goal, then why are so many of these masks made from synthetic materials sprayed with chemicals? Why are we not protecting our skin? Why are we putting in effort to protect others, yet paying no attention to the direct harm we are causing our own bodies?

It’s time to start connecting the dots – we can protect others as well as ourselves! Choose a mask made from organic materials. Fabrics that will not cause harm to your skin, such as organic cotton. We are proud of our nation for coming together and taking the necessary precautions to aid in the recovery of our world, which makes this message even more important to share.

We are happy to share these bunglo face masks made from 100% organic cotton. They are made in Los Angeles to support domestic production. Not only are these face masks safe for your skin, they are also made in patterns that will emit bright and happy vibes. Your expressions may be covered, but these masks will sufficiently facilitate that cheeky smile cracking beneath.

Check out these bunglo organic cotton face masks and buy some for the whole family!

Minimalistic Art

Art prints to add life to your walls.

One of the first things we notice when walking into a room is the art. Your walls truly speak for your space. A clean, empty wall is like a blank canvas– ready to be moulded into your room’s foundational center piece. There are many ways to hang your art. Whether you prefer one large painting or a collage of many smaller ones, your creative technique is true to your own space. Use your designer eye and choose what print, regarding size and color, fits within your aesthetic. Quality art is a fun way to add texture and color into your home, whilst contributing to the overall mood. Here are our favorite enlightened minimalistic artists at the moment!

LUCINDA JONES

These beautiful acrylic paintings are both minimalistic and intimate. Lucinda Jones is an Australian artist, specializing in her use of white space to create beautiful figures. Original paintings as well as art prints of her most popular creations are available. Check out her art on her website or instagram!

ANDY BLANK

Andy Blank is a Brooklyn based artist. His work is simple, yet intriguing. The pieces jump out at you, utilizing depth and texture. Andy is setting a new standard to art buying online which includes fair prices and quality products completely original to and made in house. The best part– all art is under $199!

BLOCK SHOP TEXTILES

These woodblock paper prints are the perfect minimalistic statement piece. They bring in a mid century aesthetic. All prints are block printed in Jaipur in a woman run studio. With two different framing options available, these prints will be ready to live on your walls!

BUNGLO – BY SHAY SPANIOLA

Bunglo art features watercolor patterns created by Austin creative, Shay Spaniola. Her art bursts with color and depth, which will add a new dimension to your blank walls. Also a photographer, Shay has taken photos all around the world and turned them into art prints to inspire your home. Check out more art on bunglo’s website!

✨Spring Renewal + Bunglo Shop Love✨

Spring is finally here, it’s that time of year where everything bursts into bloom, and gives a sense of rebirth and renewal. Use this time of year to create your own personal form of reinvention.

Cleanse yourself spiritually. Use herbs, resins, or Palo Santo to smudge yourself and your space. Invite renewal and lightness of Being.

Begin eating lighter meals, or give up little vices that you know aren’t directly benefitting your well-being.

Spring cleaning, it’s a thing! Tackle those long-awaited home improvement projects, organize and clear cluttered areas, hold onto each thing you own and question whether it truly brings you joy.

Get up earlier, honor the spring sunrise and witness the riot of color that comes alive with the first light . Put fresh flowers like lilies or roses in your home. Lilies have long been a symbol of rebirth and even reincarnation. With an aroma so splendid and rousing, you will feel a real sense of bliss upon entering your space.

Reconnect with nature. Plant a garden. Sit in the grass and get grounded for quiet moments of contemplation. Make a point of journeying into the forest for a long walk. Breathe in the green. Talk to your house plants, give them fresh fertilizer. Start a compost system at your home. Adopt an animal to nurture.

Transform your home! Decorate with luminous color palettes, soft floral and geometric patterns, fill each room with candles, add extra pillows to your bedroom and living area.  Reupholster your sofa, add creatively colorful accents, hang some new artwork, small details make all the difference. It’s the time for rejuvenation of all things!

Spring is when we unfurl, listen to your body and engage in mindfulness practices. This is your time, a time to begin anew.

Modern Bath Accessories

The Atitlán Collection

Made in small batches, these ceramics will available for a limited time only!

fall collection (2 of 15)

I’m thrilled with how the bunglo bath ceramics turned out! Inspired by my travels to Guatemala and visiting my friend’s Mid Century Modern Vacation Home, I focused on creating decor for the modern bath.

The Atitlán collection is perfect for your chic vanity.

We paired these with our favorite Coyuchi Organic Mediterranean Towels in Azure Ocean. If you haven’t tried turkish towels, they’ll change your life!

Each piece from the collection is slightly different as they’re hand painted. I love that no two products are exactly the same.

Atitlán Ring Dish
Atitlán Ring Dish – The Perfect Gift!

The ring dish is perfect for when you’re taking a shower or washing your face, it’s nice to have a place for your valuable jewels! While being engaged last year, I received a few ring dishes as gifts; I use them in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom!

Behind The Atitlán Collection

Handmade in Guatamala

The Story Behind bunglo‘s NEW Ceramic Collection

Modern Guatemala Bath Ceramics
Ceramics drying on the artisan work space roof… Love the stories behind these handmade pieces!

While traveling in Guatemala, I met a group of artisans that made ceramics using their native peacock painting technique.

They work alongside Lake Atitlán, over looking the color villages with a volcanic mountains in the background.

Lake Atitlán
View of Lake Atitlán, endless beauty!

I spent the afternoon designing modern bath ceramics using turquoise, peach, navy and orange. I wanted to use their traditional peacock painting forms with a modern edge, just for your mid century chic vanity.

How It's Made
The small artisan group has been passing their skills down for generations, creating many jobs for their local community; providing working wages and benefits. They have a beautiful view of the lake through the windows too!

Having taken ceramic classes my whole life, I’ve always dreamt of turning my designs into a collection.

Modern Ceramics
Each modern ceramic piece from our collection is made from a mold

I’ve never been the best with making pieces on the wheel (AKA lopsided)… I ultimately looked forward to painting the pieces at the end 🙂 You know me – not your paint by numbers girl – more like your messy abstract painter. I was excited to be working with molds this time around!

Modern Color Wheel
Color palette while working on designs

I had a blast using their color palette to create modern bathroom decor. As a new collection to bunglo, it took almost an entire year to get these into production! I love the ever changing landscape of my job and endless opportunities to learn!

Checkout the finished designs and shop the Atitlán collection here.

Cabin Chic Pillows for Your Modern Home – The Blue Ridge Collection

With the cooler weather settling in, I’m looking forward to getting cozy and making my home feel like a modern cabin! This is my second collection I designed in Asheville, the first being the Gemstone Collection. The Blue Ridge Mountains have slowly become my new home over the past year and a half.

The mystical clouds, the velvety pine mountains sprinkled with the changing fall leaves – the Blue Ridge Mountains have changed my color palette from saturated brights to deep indigos and earth tones.

The 6 new patterns are backed in chambray and slate gray linen.

Mix and match between the prints based on the linen color for easy bohemian decorating!
